Senior Family Practitioner – SEND
Lead early years SEND support that changes lives.
This is an opportunity to lead a skilled team supporting children with additional needs. You’ll help embed inclusive practice, guide family engagement, and ensure early identification leads to better outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Manage and supervise Family Practitioners SEND
Deliver early years SEND initiatives and interventions
Embed the Graduated Approach in practice
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Coordinate with teams across districts to improve consistency
What your week will look like:
2 days supporting colleagues to deliver Early Years SEND initiatives
Delivering group sessions, working with parents
1 day undertaking supervisions and admin of line managing staff
Attending multi-agency meetings
What we’re looking for:
A Level 3+ qualification in Early Years or SEND
Strong experience in early years SEND provision
Confident leader and mentor, with knowledge of EYFS & SLCN
Skilled communicator and inclusive practitioner
Resilient, reflective and ready to lead
Based in BFS Streams 1 & 2 (Erdington, Perry Barr, Hodge Hill & Sutton)
