About the role
The University of Staffordshire is the End-Point Assessment Organisation for our BSc (Hons) Professional Policing Practice (Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship).
The Independent End-Point Assessor role assesses apprentice competence against an industry specific standard, as part of the End-Point Assessment activities carried out by apprentices on the Degree Apprenticeship Standard. The role provides independence and impartiality for the Apprenticeship Standard and requires use of assessment experience with robust industry knowledge to form judgements and grading decisions.
Main Responsibilities
Independently and impartially assess and grade individual apprentice activities in line with approved assessment plans
Oversee the design of end point assessment activities, grading strategies and feedback approaches to satisfy the needs of apprenticeship standards
Independently observe the teaching practices of academic staff and partners to ensure that the expected high standards od delivery are being met
Lead end point assessment panel presentations, discussions, moderation and standardisation activity of end point assessment outcomes
Review conflict of interest declarations in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate
Make assessments of competence and grade, including judgments of degree apprenticeships against industry specific standards relevant to their programme of study and apprenticeship standard
