The post holder will be required to work with the relevant Head(s) of Curriculum and delivery team(s) in the design, implementation and maintenance of new and existing high-quality apprenticeship and adult learning programmes. In addition, the post holder will lead on IQA activity and co-ordination, as well as routinely scheduled standardisation activity, to improve the quality and consistency of teaching, learning and assessment across the sector.

Key Responsibilities
● Create/develop engaging delivery and learning resources to be used across the sector
● Conduct routine sampling and standardisation activities to acquire or maintain DCS on all accredited qualifications within the apprenticeship and adult learning programme offer
● Conduct a range of quality assurance activities of the apprenticeship programme delivery and EPA preparations
● Track colleague competencies across the sector
● Undertake observations
● Support colleagues with CPD activities
● Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
● Keep up to date with all sector changes
● Ensure that delivery team colleagues are up to date and understand all sector specific, legislative and regulative changes
● In conjunction with the sector delivery team(s), regularly review and evaluate the impact of all apprenticeship and adult learning programmes and plan improvements
● Regularly research innovative teaching, learning and assessment solutions to continuously improve the experience for our learners
● Ensure that Business Development team colleagues receive support to fully understand all sector specific information to promote sales of programmes
● Carry out formative and summative internal verification of all accredited qualifications
● Support the Lead IQA with EQA and annual quality visits and maintain Awarding ● Organisation and End Point Assessment Organisation registers with delivery staff and organisational changes
● Lead on Standardisation meetings and document minutes and agreed actions
● Liaise with Curriculum Managers to ensure observation development plan actions are completed
● Ensure that company policies are adhered to

Key Performance Indicators
● Ensure all Trainer Assessors have an up-to-date observation and that the tracker is maintained.
● Develop the standardisation schedule and completed the planned activity.
● Ensure DCS is acquired for new qualifications and maintained for existing qualifications.
● Work with the Head of Quality and relevant Head of department, produce and maintain a high-quality, standardised, version-controlled curriculum.
● Support new Trainer Assessors with a development plan
● Assess the skills gaps of all existing colleagues annually

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
● Qualifications/specific training
● Substantial sector experience (at least 3 years in a management role and/or a L5 qualification in the relevant vocational sector (essential)
● L4 Certificate in Education and Training (essential)
● L4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (essential)
● L3 Assessor Qualification (essential)
● English and Math to at least a Functional Skills L2 or equivalent (essential)
● Full clean driving licence and access to vehicle (essential)
● L5 Diploma in Education and Training (desirable)
● PGCE in PCET (desirable)
● L5 learning and development qualification (desirable)
● IT qualification to at least L2 or higher (desirable)

Experience
● Experienced in curriculum development & programme design (essential)
● Previously led standardisation exercises that are compliant with the requirements of awarding organisations (essential)
● Experienced in teaching and assessment across sector-specific qualifications and apprenticeships (essential)
● Experienced with e-portfolio systems (desirable)

Knowledge
● Competent in conducting quality assurance activities (essential)
● Knowledge of different assessment methods (essential)
● Understanding of feedback models (essential)
● How to support, mentor, coach, and motivate individuals (essential)
● Clear understanding of the landscape of sector-specific apprenticeships and adult learning programmes (desirable)
