About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding Sport and Uniformed Protective Services Department at Eccles Sixth Form College as a Teacher of Uniformed Protective Services. We are looking for a versatile and committed individual to inspire our Uniformed Protective Services students towards academic achievement and aspirational careers. The college offers Uniformed Protective Services courses from Level 1 to Level 3, with a strong emphasis on academic success and a sharp focus on progression.
We would welcome applications from Uniformed Protective Services specialists with experience in a Public Service setting such as blue light services or armed services. Applications will be considered from candidates who do not yet have a teaching qualification, but are looking to gain one.
Applicants with teaching experience will have a track record of excellent outcomes for students with experience of delivery at Level 3 or above. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to raise achievements and realise potential in all students through outstanding teaching, learning and support. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with knowledge and experience in themes such as Government Policies, and Citizenship & Diversity.
As a department we are looking to build upon our pre-existing links with external stakeholders and partners to further align our rich curriculum with opportunities for students to develop the relevant skills for intended Uniformed Public Services career pathways. As such the successful candidate will need strong communication and interpersonal skill, and will have up to date knowledge of the public services sector and related current issues.
