Are you an experienced leader in repairs and maintenance who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment? Do you have
a passion for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring operational efficiency and financial performance? If so, we’d
love you to join our growing team at HMS, part of Torus as a Repairs & Maintenance Team Manager.
As Team Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our Operations Team, overseeing responsive and out-of-hours
maintenance activity, subcontractor performance, and operational delivery across domestic and commercial premises.
You’ll manage a team of around 20 staff and a budget of up to £1.5 million, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and high-quality
service delivery. With responsibility for health & safety, contract governance, financial performance, and customer satisfaction,
this is a high-impact role for someone who is both operationally strong and people-focused.
What you will be doing:
* Drive contract performance, ensuring service quality, customer satisfaction, and commercial success.
* Optimise resources, forecast workload, and track performance to meet operational goals.
* Manage stock, equipment, and workforce to maintain efficiency and cost control.
* Ensure compliance with contract administration, documentation, and quality standards.
* Supervise staff, monitor performance, and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
* Support employee training, development, and handle HR matters in line with policies.
* Promote health and safety best practices while adapting to changing operational needs.
* Plan, communicate, and make informed decisions to meet contract commitments.
What we are looking for:
* Experience in a management/supervisory position
* ONC / NVQ Level 3 in Construction related discipline
* SMSTS/IOSH or similar Health and Safety Qualification
* Full UK driver’s license
* CSCS card at appropriate level
* Good understanding of maintenance contractual requirements.
* Able to demonstrate good knowledge of Construction and technologies.
* Proven employee management skills which enable the post holder to manage a multi-disciplinary team
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions.
