Job Description
As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and cost-effective integrated facilities service to the building(s) under your remit.
You will ensure that all services are delivered to the highest standards, driving both operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
This is a dynamic role that combines day-to-day service management with opportunities for innovation, team leadership, and strategic input.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operational facilities across the site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal standards
Lead and support on-site teams, including cleaners, coordinators, security, and technician assistants
Oversee and coordinate external contractors to ensure service delivery meets agreed standards
Act as primary contact for all ISS services, including Security, Cleaning, and Catering
Perform full line management duties including rotas, leave, performance reviews, and regular staff check-ins
Build a strong ‘One Team’ culture through consistent communication and team meetings
Liaise with client and contractors, conduct site inspections, track service performance, and maintain accurate site records, including floor plans and staffing lists
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience in Facilities Management, ideally with exposure to total FM service delivery
Proven track record of managing diverse teams across multiple service lines (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.)
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
Confident, proactive, and able to lead with a hands-on approach
IOSH and COSHH certification required; other FM-related qualifications desirable
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle day-to-day operational demands
Professional, reliable, and capable of representing the business positively on a client-facing site
