Description
We are seeking an experienced ASC – Senior Social Worker to join our dynamic Locality Team. This role is integral in providing high-quality social work services to our community, supporting individuals and families in need while promoting their wellbeing and independence. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead and mentor a team of social workers and support staff, ensuring best practices in assessment, intervention, and case management are upheld. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including health professionals, educational institutions, and local organizations, to create supportive environments for vulnerable populations. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of care plans that are tailored to each individual's unique situation. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
Develop and implement personalized care plans, and monitor their effectiveness while making necessary adjustments.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior social workers and staff in their professional development and case management.
Collaborate with external agencies, including healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations, to provide holistic support to clients.
Advocate for the rights and interests of service users, ensuring their voices are heard in the decision-making process.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social work practice.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case documentation, records, and reports as required by local standards.
Requirements
A recognized qualification in social work (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
Registration with the appropriate social work regulatory body.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work, preferably within a locality or community setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in the field of social work.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and supervisory skills to guide junior staff effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple cases efficiently.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £13.45
