SEN Outreach Tutor - Maths & English (Bromley)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated SEN Outreach Tutor to support children and young people in the Bromley area who are currently out of mainstream education. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 tailored support in Maths and English, helping to re-engage learners and rebuild confidence through personalised, structured sessions.

As an SEN Outreach Tutor, you'll be working with students who often have special educational needs (SEN) or barriers to accessing traditional classroom environments. Your role will involve designing and delivering bespoke lessons that are engaging, supportive, and focused on each student's individual learning style and pace.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified teacher or experienced tutor looking to make a meaningful difference outside of the classroom environment.

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS
- Support students with SEN needs in a 1:1 setting
- Focused tutoring in Maths and English
- Help students build confidence, routine, and academic progress
- Work closely with Prospero to track progress and receive ongoing support

DETAILS
- Location: Bromley and surrounding areas
- Position: SEN Outreach Tutor (Maths & English)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Ongoing - varies by student
- Type: Temporary, flexible hours (minimum 1 hour to a max of 3 hours per session)
- Rate: Starting from £25 per hour
- Availability: Part-time and full-time hours available based on your schedule

REQUIREMENTS
- Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 6 months experience in a UK school or tutoring role
- Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support learning needs
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable - training can be provided)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Two professional references covering the last two years
