What skills and experience we're looking for

At Oulton Primary School, we think for ourselves and care for each other and we are proud to be an inclusive school. As a school, we celebrate everybody’s individual abilities, strengths, and learning journey. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to join Oulton Primary School, Leeds. We require a committed teacher to join our team, starting in September 2025. This role is a full time, permanent position and is suitable for ECTs.

Candidates must be confident to teach across the entire primary curriculum whilst providing appropriate adaptations to meet the needs of our diverse learners. You must be able to inspire and motivate our children and be committed to enhancing curriculum delivery to ensure the development of a wide range of skills to enable our pupils to become life-long learners.

We need positive people to join our team on our journey to provide bespoke pupil support which complements our inclusive school ethos. We do demand a lot but our children deserve the best; we need the best people to bring their enthusiasm, experience, skills and commitment to Oulton. We are looking for a teacher who has…

• Enthusiasm for creative, dynamic and a multi-sensory approach to learning and teaching
• The highest expectations and aspirations of themselves and their pupils
• Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills
• Experience or passion for a curriculum subject area (please make this specific in your application)
• Experience of working proactively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience of teaching in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with a strength in relation to adapting provision to meet the needs of pupils with complex learning difficulties or a neurodiverse profile of need
• A passion for embedding Neuro-affirming practice, fostering a learning environment where all children can thrive
