Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join our team on a temporary basis for a project based in Cardiff. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire doors in accordance with current legislation and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install new fire-rated doors and frames to manufacturer and compliance specifications.

  • Carry out fire door inspections, maintenance, and remedial works.

  • Ensure all work complies with fire safety regulations (BS 8214:2016 & relevant UK standards).

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations on site at all times.

  • Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a joiner with specific experience in fire door installation and maintenance.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of fire door compliance and building regulations.

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent trade qualification.

  • FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar fire door accreditation (preferred but not always essential).

  • CSCS card (essential).

  • Full UK driving licence (desirable, depending on job mobility).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
