The Estate Enhancement Project Operative (SO1) plays a vital role in the ongoing improvement and maintenance of public estates and green spaces. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing various projects aimed at enhancing the aesthetic and functional qualities of our community areas. This position combines hands-on physical work with project management skills, allowing you to make a direct impact on local environments. You will collaborate closely with other operatives, supervisors, and community stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and execution of estate enhancement projects
Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, and weeding
Implement environmental sustainability practices in all project activities
Conduct regular inspections of estates to identify maintenance needs
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project goals are met
Engage with community members to gather feedback and suggestions
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safety and operational readiness
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping
Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Basic knowledge of horticulture and landscape design
Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate initiative
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the workplace
A valid driver's license and willingness to operate company vehicles
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £19.75
