Childcare Deputy Manager & Administrator | Up to £29,000 | 38 Hours per Week

Our client is looking for a passionate and organised Childcare Deputy Manager to join their friendly team in a dynamic split role, combining hands-on childcare leadership with key administrative responsibilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in the day-to-day running of both the term-time club and holiday club, while also managing essential office duties. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a varied role, enjoys working with children, and has strong leadership and admin skills.

As Deputy Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Childcare Manager to deliver high-quality early years provision and ensure smooth operations behind the scenes. The role offers a fulfilling mix of practical childcare duties and administrative tasks such as rotas, communications, and compliance.

  • Proven senior experience in an early years or childcare setting
  • Strong administration skills, with confidence using digital systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
  • A valid UK driving licence (essential due to multi-site or flexible travel)
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy, varied role

Benefits of Working with the Service

  • Discounted childcare for staff
  • Regular team events and a friendly, collaborative working culture
  • Access to a comprehensive wellness and support programme
  • Pension scheme
  • Staff benefits programme with discounts and perks
  • Continuous training and development opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily running of the term-time and holiday clubs
  • Deliver engaging, child-centred activities in line with EYFS principles
  • Supervise, mentor, and inspire team members across settings
  • Oversee rota planning, attendance tracking, and operational records
  • Maintain effective communication with families and the wider team
  • Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and data policies
  • Take the lead in the absence of the Manager and support across all areas as needed
