The Devonshire Group employs approximately 1,400 colleagues across their estates which are spread over 65,000 acres.The group is committed to benefitting heritage, people and a shared future, by preserving, restoring and enhancing their heritage assets, by being a significant contributor to their communities and by being seen as a leader in the way they do things.About the roleYou’ll work closely with the Infrastructure and Solutions Delivery Manager, playing a hands-on role in shaping and delivering key technical improvements across the organisation.This is a unique opportunity to:Contribute to a full redesign of WAN, LAN, and SAN infrastructureBe actively involved in our Microsoft 365 transformation, including the rollout of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra and Exchange OnlineSupport the build and migration of server infrastructure as we move to Hyper-V virtualisationWork on automation and digital improvement projects using Power Automate and low-code platformsHelp deploy and support Windows 11 devices across our estate locationsYour day-to-day responsibilities will include:Supporting infrastructure redesign projects across multiple sitesAssisting with Microsoft 365 implementation and user onboardingHelping with device setup, hardware deployment and endpoint configurationGaining hands-on experience with tools such as Intune, Teams, SharePoint and Microsoft Entra IDSupporting application and server build activity within a Hyper-V environmentDocumenting processes, supporting change planning and contributing to project deliveryEngaging with stakeholders and users to ensure solutions are practical and well-receivedTravelling between sites as needed to support rollouts and user engagementYou’ll also gain valuable exposure to:Best practices in cross-team collaboration and IT project deliveryCore principles of IT governance, compliance and securityThis is a fixed-term role for a duration of 12-months. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility to work the occasional evening or weekends depending on business needs. We operate a hybrid working policy which means you can choose to work some of the week from the office on the Chatsworth Estate (Derbyshire) and some from home, this will be dependent on business needs.About youThis role would be appropriate for graduates who have recently graduated in a computer science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field. You will have familiarity with Microsoft 365 services (e.g. Teams, SharePoint) and a basic knowledge of networking and Windows-based environments.Other qualities important to this role include a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn and take the initiative.
