About the roleAt Chatsworth, we care for one of the largest and most significant private collections in Britain, the Devonshire Collections, and our Collections team have a vital part to play in this.As Collections Technician, you will provide the main technical support to the Collections department, undertaking the day-to-day care for the Devonshire Collection.This is a very diverse role, focusing on the safe handling, movement and storage of the collection. It also includes the participation in key programmes, including the Preventive Conservation Programme, Conservation Programme, Annual Winter Programme, as well as Special Projects. You will also play a vital supporting role in the realisation of the Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions Programme.We're a busy, friendly team, who enjoy working together and across the wider Devonshire Group to provide the exceptional service of which we are so proud.This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional evening or weekend work, depending on the needs of the role.
