We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Business Support Officer to join our Adult Social Care team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the safeguarding adults service, helping to keep some of our most at-risk residents safe.

About the Role
As a Business Support Officer you will be part of a wider Business Support Team, but your core duties will include providing administrative support, organising meetings and taking minutes in meetings for the Safeguarding Team.
As Business Support Officer you play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of safeguarding processes. You’ll provide vital administrative support to social workers and safeguarding leads, handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and care.
Your responsibilities will include arranging safeguarding meetings, preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring records are maintained in line with statutory requirements.
You’ll also act as a point of contact for internal and external partners, including health professionals, the police, and care providers, supporting effective multi-agency working. You'll keep case management systems up to date, track referrals, and help ensure that safeguarding enquiries are well-documented and completed within required timescales.
Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities will be crucial in helping us protect and support vulnerable adults in our community.

strong IT and literacy skills
able to input and retrieve data accurately as required from a variety of IT systems
