Are you passionate about literature, language, and helping young people find their voice?

A dynamic secondary school in the Southend area is seeking a full-time English Teacher to join their vibrant team from September 2025. This permanent position offers the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, equipping them with the critical thinking and communication skills they need to succeed in school-and life.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons at KS3 and KS4
• Foster a love of reading, writing, and discussion
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide literacy initiatives
• Participate in CPD and whole-school events

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in English or related subject
• Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English
• Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
• Creative, reflective, and driven to make a difference
• Excellent communication and collaboration
