Summary

Are you a passionate Geography Teacher looking to teach in a supportive and forward-thinking school? This full-time, permanent role in the Castle Point area offers an exciting opportunity to join a committed and collaborative Humanities team from September 2025.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to explore the world around them, question global issues, and develop a strong foundation in geographical skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum
• Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to diverse learners
• Promote curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness
• Contribute to curriculum planning and department enrichment activities
• Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and expectations
• Engage positively with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student achievement

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to student progress and inclusive education
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and teaching strategies
