Are you ready to take your students on a journey across continents, cultures, and current global issues? A secondary school in Waltham Forest is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their vibrant Humanities department full-time from September 2025.
This permanent role is ideal for an educator who wants to make Geography relevant, dynamic, and inspiring. You'll deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 provision depending on experience. For the right candidate, a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) is also available - giving you the chance to take on extra responsibility and lead on curriculum or enrichment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
•
Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with possible KS5 involvement
•
Design and deliver inclusive, well-planned lessons that engage and challenge
•
Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies
•
Promote global awareness, sustainability, and critical thinking in the classroom
•
Contribute to curriculum planning and department enrichment activities
•
Support extracurricular activities such as fieldwork, clubs, or theme days
•
Take on additional duties or leadership (if awarded a TLR)
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•
Experience teaching Geography in secondary schools
•
Strong curriculum knowledge and lesson planning ability
•
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
•
A passion for helping students understand and engage with the world
•
ECTs welcome - full support and mentoring available
•
Interest in taking on added responsibility (TLR available for the right candidate)
