Site supervisor needed on civils project

The Role:

As a Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Directly overseeing and actively participating in civils remediation works.
  • Managing and coordinating site operatives and sub-contractors.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality control on all aspects of the works.
  • Managing plant, materials, and resources effectively.
  • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings.
  • Maintaining accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
  • Problem-solving and proactively addressing any site issues.
  • Liaising effectively with the Project Manager, clients, and other stakeholders.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Working Supervisor on civils remediation projects is essential.
  • Strong understanding of groundworks, earthworks, drainage, and related civils activities.
  • Valid SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • First Aid at Work certification (desirable).
  • Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detail.
