Stock Controller/Planner assistant

Location: Rochdale, United Kingdom

Salary starting from £12.21 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

We are a leading chemical manufacturer specialising in producing high-quality chemicals for the food and livestock industry. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an organised and proactive Stock Controller/Planner to join our team and support our operations.

As a Stock Controller/Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient production and stock management processes.

Your duties will include:

1. Planning production schedules, including raising and processing works orders (batch sheets).

2. Liaising with external warehouses to coordinate works orders and manage stock reconciliation.

3. Raising and completing works orders for the filling department as needed.

4. Allocating stock to sales orders to facilitate dispatch for the blending department.

5. Reporting to the Operations Manager, managing the movement, addition, and removal of stock while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

6. Preparing weekly operational reports for team meetings.

7. Assisting with and overseeing stock takes as directed by the Operations Manager.

8. Filing works orders in collaboration with Quality Control for the filling and production departments.

9. Processing purchase orders, including placing orders, following up on purchase orders, and booking goods upon receipt.

10. Performing other duties as required to support the department's operations.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or production planning (preferably in a manufacturing environment).

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling data and reports.

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external partners.

- Proficiency in using stock management systems and general computer applications.

- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
