You will work 37.5 hours a week (Monday - Friday 9am-5pm) at Rhodes Wood Hospital in Hatfield, where you will manage the support services, which include Housekeeping, Catering and Estates departments. This will see you oversee budgets, risk assessments, audits and attend council and community meetings to support the needs of the service. With experience and skills from a specialised trade, you will ensure each department runs smoothly, whether it's managing the response to maintenance requests, developing the food and beverage services or maintaining hygiene standards. You will operationally manage the support functions of the hospital including Estates, Housekeeping, Catering and Front of House leading the senior department leads. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you’ll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will ensure these services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards, supporting the hospital’s commitment to exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include: •Operational management and provide effective leadership and ensuring high standards and compliance across these departments. •Maintain accurate documentation and spreadsheets to support internal and external inspections. •To undertake risk assessments and organise emergency procedures/fire drills. •Participate in on call duties and where required, out of hours visits. Catering •Oversee the delivery of catering services for patients and staff, ensuring compliance with nutritional and food safety standards. •Monitor service quality and hygiene through regular audits and feedback mechanisms. •Ensure efficient use of food resources and proper storage in line with Environmental Health Office (EHO) standards. Housekeeping •Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the hospital. •Supervise housekeeping operations and ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols. •Conduct regular cleanliness audits and implement improvements as needed. Maintenance •Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities across the site. •Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and maintain accurate records of all works. •Manage maintenance budgets and ensure high standards of workmanship and safety. Reception / Front of House •Lead the front-of-house team to deliver a professional and compassionate welcome to all visitors. •Manage staff rotas, training, and service delivery standards. •Implement systems to manage enquiries, bookings, and visitor flow efficiently and safely. As a Facilities Lead, you will need: •Relevant qualification •Trained and experienced with a trade •Previous experience within a similar role and/or environment •Experience within supporting services Where you will be working: Location: Shepherds Way, Brookmans Park, Hatfield AL9 6NN Rhodes Wood Hospital is a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 12 up to 18 years.
