The department of Immunology and allergy are seeking 2 x WTE to join their team

This is an additional post to manage increased demand. The consultant will be responsible, with 4 colleagues, for the clinical care of immunodeficient patients, allergy patients, challenges, desensitisations and MDT meetings. The role will include close working with immunology colleagues and specialist nurses. There is a large day unit with regular admission for both immunodeficiency treatment and Allergy challenges and care. There is also the ability to admit patients when required.

The post holder would also manage a separate, but linked service in Cheltenham or equivalent

This is an exciting time to come to immunology at NBT. We are looking to enhance the service regionally and hope to have in place an enhanced management contract for the outreach clinics, thus bringing the standards of care to all parts of the region.

The department has an excellent track record for research, with a national an international reputation.

Please note that the JD is pending Royal College approval.

Key person requirements
• Past experience at a consultant level on treating allergy
• Past experience in locum work treating allergy in different centre’s
• Past experience as undertaking waiting list initiative work at other centre’s
• Evidence of team working, good clinical practice and good feedback
• Recent appraisal
• GMC registration
• Recent allergy practice, within the last 2 years
• Recent Audit in last 3 years

Applicants are required to be on the Specialist Register for Allergy (with clinical Immunology). Full Registration with the GMC is essential.
