The School of Employability at South Thames College is seeking a trainer/lecturer to teach adults the skills and knowledge required to install and maintain heat pump systems, so they can successfully achieve a Level 3 Award qualification from EAL (The Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems).

As our trainer/lecturer for this course, we would like you to have professional experience of the installation and maintenance of heat pump systems, along with experience of training adults to be able to do this job.

We would like you to hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. Ideally you will have an understanding of the assessment criteria and learning outcomes for this EAL course.

This is a great opportunity to join a team of trainers/lectures delivering an exciting suite of green skills courses to help adults in the construction/trades sector to upskill and diversify and to help the country in its net-zero transition.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 26th June 2025.

There is an excellent pension scheme that receives a significant financial contribution from the employer (Teachers Pensions or Local Government Pension Scheme), subsidised sports facilities and professional development and training plus a salary sacrifice cycle to work scheme. The benefits package is pro-rated for part time staff.
