Argus Fire launched in 1982, is nowpart of the Mitie Group. We are the UK's class-leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems. We design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. We currently have over 200 employees and have offices based in Stourbridge (HQ), Manchester and London.

Why are we recruiting? We are growing our Service Department who cover client nationwide. We pride ourselves on excellent service and delivery, after installation servicing is key to keeping our clients systems fully compliant and operational. Whether it is special risk, detection or any sprinkler system, we provide service and maintenance of systems combined with 24/7 emergency call-out. This role is based in the London area.
Main Duties - Pump Service Engineer
-Carry out pre-planned maintenance works to Sprinkler Fire Pumps to relevant standards.
-Understand fire panels, and sprinkler systems including pumps and diesel engines.
-Be able to assist other engineers in carrying out repairs and fault find on fire sprinkler pumps.
-Be able to carry out repairs to rotating equipment to a high standard.
-Complete electronic job reports on each inspection/breakdown.
Skill Requirement for the Role
-Working knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Pumps is essential
-Experience of working with diesel engines.
-NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds - Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance related field would be desirable but not essential.
-Full driving licence
-DBS check
-Flexible approach to working hours and location
-Ability to work unsupervised or in a team
-Professional, pleasant attitude and smart in appearance, capable of communicating diplomatically to strengthen customer relationships.
-Polite communication skills and ability to know when to escalate problems
-IT literate as all jobs are booked on tablets
-Ability to problem solve and use own initiative when on site
-Be punctual and reliable
-Provide an excellent customer experience
