If yes, our client, a specialist in employee benefits and workplace savings engagement, is seeking an experienced Senior Workplace Pensions Support professional to join their team. This role focuses on the administration of contract-based pension schemes (GPP/GSIPP) and providing essential support to employer and scheme member clients. The firm also offers comprehensive financial planning services to both corporate and private clients.

Essential Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in financial services pensions administration, with a strong focus on contract-based DC schemes (GPP/GSIPP); experience with Occupational DC and DB schemes is desirable
• Strong knowledge of DC pension contribution calculations, including salary sacrifice and relief at source
• Solid understanding of automatic enrolment legislation, including cyclical re-enrolment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, with experience handling large data sets and managing membership records via back-office systems
• Familiar with the systems and administration processes used by workplace pension providers
• Confident and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Some people management skills, including providing feedback and conducting peer reviews
What Makes You Stand Out
• Experience managing market tenders and pricing processes with contract-based pension providers
• Previous client-facing administration experience, particularly with pension scheme implementation or switch projects
• Understanding of DC pensions payroll, including provider-payroll interactions and implementation support
• Experience supporting advisers or consultants on pension advisory projects
• Previous experience working with DB pensions

• High attention to detail; analytically and numerically skilled, with the ability to evaluate and interpret complex data

• Good understanding of current pensions legislation
Qualifications & Technical Skills
• Educated to A-level standard or equivalent (or higher)
• Ideally, experience working in an EBC or benefits-focused IFA environment
• Actively studying towards an industry-recognised pensions qualification
What will your role look like?
• Work with the scheme adviser(s) to effectively manage existing scheme administration and ongoing governance support
• Work with the scheme adviser(s) to effectively onboard and transition pension schemes to newly recommended contract-based product solutions
• Communicate and work with pension providers and scheme administrator contacts
• Leading projects when going to market for existing or prospect clients (scheme tenders)
• Perform pension contribution and tax calculations
• Understand salary sacrifice and the tax and NI implications to both employer and employee
• To promptly and professionally communicate with clients, including scheme member queries on a range of scheme/member events when required via e-mail, telephone, letter and where necessary, virtually
• To be accurate and responsible for pension payroll calculations/reporting within SLAs agreed with clients
• Take overall responsibility for the accuracy of information contained within our back office systems for workplace pensions
• Be a champion of change and provide opinions on ideas to create further efficiencies within our business
• Act as a leader and, where required, peer review your colleagues' work and guide them along the way
• Continuous achievement of Service Levels for member processing and completion of scheme event processing in line with timescales agreed with the clients at the required level of quality
