The Director of FP&A and Business Performance is a critical leadership role responsible for building and sustaining a reliable and forward-thinking planning and analysis function that empowers the business with high-impact financial insight.
Job Description
Acting as a strategic partner to the CLT, CFO, Segment Finance Directors, and senior leaders, this role leads a reliable and agile planning function, driving consistent and timely performance reporting from country-level strategy to contract-level planning.
The Director will own and maintain the UK&I planning tool, ensuring it evolves with business needs, while helping to shape and implement a modern finance data strategy in collaboration with IT.
With a strong focus on driver-based reporting and actionable insights beyond core systems like OneStream and NAV, the role also fosters a culture of commercial discipline, embedding robust business case evaluation and investment review across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a responsive, reliable Planning & Analysis function to support the CLT, CFO and senior teams with clear financial insight
Set and maintain a consistent approach to planning across UK&I, including down to contract level
Own and update the UK&I planning tool to reflect internal and external changes
Deliver timely, accurate reporting and insight using tools like OneStream and NAV, moving towards driver-based reporting
Help define and implement the finance data strategy in collaboration with IT
Embed a strong culture of business case review and data-led decision making across the business
Ensure relevant insight is produced to support CLT decision-making effectively
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong post-qualification team leadership experience
Skilled in both financial control and business partnering, with a proven ability to influence at senior levels
Strong written and verbal communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
Commercially aware with a solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking in service-led environments
Confident in using data and analytics to drive decisions, with experience in tools, models, and insights
Advanced Excel user with the ability to handle complex data for clear reporting and analysis
Organised and proactive, able to manage competing priorities independently
