Pay Rate: £17.24 per hour PAYE

Contract Length: 8 months

Hours per week: 37 (full time - Monday-Friday)

Driver's Licence required



Hybrid Working

The role is based at Middlemoor and the requirement to train will be predominately face to face teaching at this location. There will be opportunity for some online training which may be done at home along with and administration tasks

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic IT Training & Development Officer to design and deliver high-quality training that supports the professional growth of all their staff and volunteers.
This is your opportunity to shape the way our client trains and develops their workforce, with a focus on both core IT systems such as PNC and NICHE, and cutting-edge learning technologies like e-learning, immersive learning, and digital media.

Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, and deliver IT training programmes across a range of platforms, including Microsoft Office and police-specific systems.


Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify individual and organisational development requirements.


Collaborate with Learning & Development staff, senior managers, and external partners to ensure training is current and aligned with national standards.


Use innovative methods, including digital and online learning, to engage learners and enhance knowledge retention.


Assess learner progress and provide coaching and guidance to support development.


Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date training documentation and records.


Support cross-departmental training as required, contributing to wider organisational learning goals.



Essential Criteria:


A recognised teaching/training qualification or substantial experience with a willingness to achieve qualification within an agreed timeframe.


Strong IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office; comfortable using and teaching a variety of software platforms.


A forward-thinking, innovative mindset in applying modern learning technologies.


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage a diverse workforce and adapt training delivery to suit various audiences.


Effective planning and organisational skills to coordinate and deliver timely, high-quality training sessions.


Ability to work collaboratively and supportively within a team.


Proven ability to design bespoke training programmes to meet organisational needs.


A full UK driving licence (or reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabilities).
