What's involved with this role:
Are you an experienced Intelligence Officer with a background in safeguarding, research, and analytical work? Do you have the resilience to work with sensitive content and want to contribute to national-level efforts in protecting vulnerable individuals?
Our client specialising in intelligence-led services, is seeking dedicated Intelligence Officers. This vital function acts as a central point for processing and assessing referrals from major online platforms and technology providers, supporting efforts to safeguard at-risk individuals and inform wider intelligence operations.
Following recent legislative changes, the team now plays a key role in supporting regulatory compliance and triaging critical information escalated by UK-based digital service providers.
What you will be doing
Reviewing and assessing sensitive content and communication data to identify potential harm and criminal activity
Developing intelligence packages using open-source and classified methods
Conducting geo-location analysis and content evaluation to support operational decision-making
Maintaining accurate records and case documentation in line with internal protocols
Supporting team wellbeing initiatives and promoting a collaborative, resilient working culture
Liaising with operational partners to coordinate timely safeguarding actions
What we are looking for
Strong willingness and resilience to engage with sensitive and potentially distressing material (essential)
Background in safeguarding, risk assessment, or similar roles involving protection of vulnerable groups
Demonstrated ability to gather, assess, and interpret intelligence and data from a range of sources
Experience in law enforcement, consultancy, regulatory, or intelligence environments
High attention to detail and a naturally analytical mindset
Emotional robustness and maturity; candidates will have access to specialist support and must pass a mandatory psychological suitability assessment
Familiarity with open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools or techniques (advantageous)
Top 3 Criteria
Experience in safeguarding or related intelligence work
Background in risk assessment, intelligence, or investigative functions
Expertise in research and analysis, ideally in high-pressure environments
