We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Learning & Development team at Greggs as Retail Learning & Development Advisor.
Leading a team of three Learning & Development Facilitators, you\'ll be responsible for delivering engaging and effective operational training across approximately 500 shops and 6,000 colleagues across your region.
You\'ll work in close partnership with the Regional Retail Team to identify training needs, design impactful development initiatives, and coordinate delivery in line with Greggs’ Learning & Development strategy.

About the role
- This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- This is a field based role covering Midlands, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Wales, Devon and Cornwall. Ideally, you’ll live within one hour travel of this area.
What you’ll do
- Lead the team in line with the Greggs values and competencies, ensuring they have clear objectives, regular reviews and PDP’s, optimise the opportunities to develop L&DF’s delivery skills and knowledge. Focuses on engagement, supporting the team to manage priorities for the region, and manage issues in line with company policy
- Supports rollout of business initiatives within the Region
- Accountable for the achievement of the Retail Activity Plans within agreed budget
- Ensure effective delivery and deployment of Core Programmes & Compliance training across the region
- Provides accurate and relevant reporting data on core & compliance training across the region
- Analyses data to ensure core and compliance targets are met across the region and puts plans in place to deal with any issues
- Design and deliver specific programmes in conjunction with L&D Team and Digital Creators
- Partner with other L&D Advisors to assign resources to projects and assign responsibilities making the best use of individual strengths, skills and knowledge
- Attend Retail Team meetings to deliver training update, contribute to and influence decision making and gain ‘buy in’ resulting in a standardised approach across the region
- Ensure the implementation of the L&D evaluation process to understand the impact of learning at business level
- Contribute to broader L&D agenda through design/delivery/facilitation of Career Pathways as part of the national team
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
- Previous experience within a similar Learning & Development role in retail
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels across the Region
- Effective I.T. skills, ability to confidently use Microsoft 365, AI and LMS reporting
- Results focussed, reacting positively to change and engaging the team to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and approach
- Ability to design and deliver training sessions to Shop Management & Area Managers
- Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in customer service
- Are results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skills
- Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
- Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
- Able to engage and work collaboratively with other teams to make improvements to processes and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together
