The Education and Families Service is looking to recruit a Curriculum Manager of Leadership, Equity and Improvement.

In this role you will be part of the wider Scottish Attainment Challenge team leading on delegated aspects of the revised Scottish Attainment Challenge plan and wider Service objectives, to improve outcomes for learners, particularly those impacted by the poverty-related attainment gap.

The successful candidate will collaborate and work with colleagues to identify and implement approaches, with a particular focus on leadership, equity and improvement. This will ultimately lead to raised attainment and closing of the poverty related attainment gap. Flexible and integrated working will be key aspects of the role, including working directly with clusters and individual establishments to improve outcomes.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are therefore essential as is experience of leading change and improvement. This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified teacher, with previous experience of leading on initiatives that have improved outcomes for children and young people at a local and national level.

The postholder will work with others in Education and Families, including a range of wider partners, including EFMs, CIILs, West Partnership and Education Scotland.

Prior to commencing in this role, you will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member.

This post is temporary until 31 March 2026.

Interviews for this post will take place week commencing 23 June 2025

Further details about the post can be obtained from Marie-Claire Hendry HendryMa@northlan.gov.uk or Geraldine Shearer shearerg@northlan.gov.uk
