A fantastic band 6 OT rotation opportunity to work across place in Kingston Hospital which will enable you to develop and integrate your OT skills and knowledge within a variety of different rotations
This Rotational Band 6 Occupational Therapy Post aims to provide employment opportunities to enhance understanding and collaborative working. Rotations will be across COE, Orthopaedics, Frailty ED, Surgery and Speciality Medicine
Within each rotation you will have opportunity to:
• complete quality improvement project
• training on equipment, adaptations, seating, moving and handling, assessment and intervention for complex comorbidities and long term conditions.
• Participate in in service training and peer support.
Applicants are expected to work autonomously and as part of the wider MDT.
Main duties may include but are not exhaustive of managing own caseload, liaising with MDT, moving and handling assessments and patient centred goal setting. You will be working closely with patients, family members, carers and acute/ community partners to deliver individualised treatment programmes. You will also be facilitating clinical supervision, student development and service improvement initiatives including audits, pathway developments and service promotion.
You will be expected to provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a wide variety of patients in liaison with the multidisciplinary team within the rotation clinical setting you are working within. Service provision is between Mon- Fri 8-4/ 8:30-4:30 with some weekend working
