The WAC Manager is responsible for the safe and effective management of the Water Activity Centres and providing oversight of the planning and delivery of authorised AT, Similar Adventurous Activities and water sports conducted from these centres.
Lead strategic goals, plan and resource the programme for the WACs under RNAT HQ guidance and direction.
To manage the WACs ensuring the safe and effective management of its staff and all delivery directly linked to the centre, meeting.
Plan and implement a year-round programme of activities that maximise participation levels using a combination of AT and SAA.
Manage the delivery of the RN Type 2 Offshore Sailing offer.
Generate annual costed ABC demands for the WACs and be the delegated Budget Controller for AT expenditure.
Consult with RNAT HQ, OIC DRU and OC NOCG to inform the generation of a coherent AT delivery programme for RN/RM personnel.
Be line manager for WAC Staff and Fee Earners engaged.
Manage the WAC Falmouth staff ensuring they are suitably trained to deliver within their TORs and including the development and daily management of adhoc instructors operating from the centre.
Assist in the organisation, management and delivery of AT to other RNAT centres such as NOCG and DRUs in support of RNAT HQ tasking in the UK and abroad.
