Summary

Job Title: Office Administrator/ Receptionist
Location: British Commercial Vehicle Museum Trust, Leyland
Hours: (28 Hours) Days: Wed-Friday and 1 day at weekend

Salary - £12.21 Per Hour Plus

About Us:
The British Commercial Vehicle Museum Trust, a registered charity located in Leyland, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of commercial vehicles. Our museum also offers conference facilities and hosts educational visits, including school and group tours. We operate with a small but dedicated team of staff, supported by over 40 enthusiastic volunteers. We are seeking an Administrator/ Receptionist to join our team and support the daily operations of the museum, contributing to our administrative, educational activities and reception desk.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of office functions
• Manage phone calls, emails, and correspondence
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating bookings and visitor information
• Support conference bookings and event coordination
• Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases
• Assist with social media management and content creation to engage our audience
• Support weekend events or activities as needed
• Work on reception greeting customers and cash handling
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in office administration or similar roles
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with both staff and volunteers
• Basic understanding and experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to work some weekends as required
• Customer Service experience
• Cash Handling experience
