What skills and experience we're looking for
The children, staff and Governors of Ecclesfield Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, experienced, committed and caring teaching assistant to with upper KS2 pupils.
Ecclesfield Primary works with Coit Primary School in a federation structure and thus there are many opportunities to work alongside staff at both schools. Both schools are committed to nurturing staff to support the development of the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
This role would suit a graduate who is considering a career in teaching and who is motivated to acquire the necessary experience of working in a classroom before embarking on a post graduate course of study for teaching.
You must
• Have gained an NVQ Level 3 qualification for classroom assistants or equivalent as a minimum requirement
• Have also gained the HLTA status or hold a Level 4 qualification
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Have a passion for working with pupils with a variety of needs
• Be a motivational communicator for children of all abilities ensuring learning is engaging and inclusive
• Be an innovative classroom support with a commitment to promoting the inclusion agenda
• Be able to work effectively within the team to ensure there are high quality and effective learning opportunities for all children
• Be very flexible and adapt quickly to change
• Have a willingness to undertake training
• Have a sense of humour
