Senior Healthcare Assistant – Night Shifts | £14 per Hour | Full-Time | Beautiful Countryside Care Home

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their dedicated night team. Based in a stunning care home nestled in the countryside, this role offers the chance to deliver exceptional care in a peaceful and supportive environment.

This is a full-time, permanent night shift position, ideal for someone with experience in elderly care who is looking to step into a senior role with purpose and progression.

Working within a close-knit team, the Senior Healthcare Assistant will lead and support overnight care delivery for a small number of older residents, many of whom are living with dementia. The service focuses on providing high-quality residential and dementia care, where each resident is treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above
  • Prior experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Senior Healthcare Assistant is essential.
  • Experience in elderly care, particularly dementia care, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead by example, with a caring and professional approach.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working night shifts and managing responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and oversee compassionate, person-centred care throughout the night.
  • Support residents with their individual care plans, promoting dignity and comfort.
  • Lead and mentor night staff, ensuring a calm, professional working environment.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Respond to residents’ physical and emotional needs with empathy and efficiency.
  • Ensure the home remains safe and secure during night hours.
  • Work in close partnership with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
