Summary


We are excited to offer an opportunity to join the North London Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN), as a Study Support Service (SSS) Facilitator. In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating the delivery of health and care research across the region.

The SSS Facilitator role is instrumental in underpinning the success of the Study Support Service, providing essential support and enabling the smooth operation of services. This encompasses pre-approval such as Planning and Placement Services, national cost and attribution tools, as well as post-approval including portfolio oversight and on-request services.

The SSS team is integral to NIHR North London RRDN - a newly formed organisation building on the achievements of the NIHR Clinical Research Network. This role offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will contribute to shaping the future of health and care research in North London.

The Study Support Service Facilitator is responsible for supporting the delivery of services within the NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) Study Support Service, which will be seamlessly integrated within the collective national Study Support Service, which
serves as the cornerstone of the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN), facilitating the effective delivery of studies throughout the system while enhancing strategic capacity and capability.

The role will be responsible for engaging with multiple partners across the region, fostering collaboration and coordination through the facilitation of communities and events. Additionally, the role will maintain proficiency in cost and attribution tools, ensuring adept support for regional organisations with their data requirements. The role’s efforts will be instrumental in underpinning the success of the Study Support Service, providing essential support and enabling the smooth operation of services. Through their coordination and expertise, the post-holder will contribute significantly to the overarching goals of the RDN.

The role will line manage a Study Support Service Officer. Line management of staff members will include undertaking staff reviews to identify training and development needs, and establishing how those needs will be met, and managing performance against agreed
objectives.
