Summary


General Manager – All Adult Inpatients and Urgent Care services

The General Manager will lead all aspects of the day to day operational management of the Inpatient and Urgent Care sub-directorate of All Adult Mental Health Services. They will be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality care and efficient service delivery.

The post holder will be involved in developing and implementing strategic plans for Adult and Older People Mental Health services, including resource allocation, service development, and workforce planning.They will work closely with the safety and quality leads and with the clinical and professional leadsto provide quality assurance and ensure seamless care pathways for patients. They provide strong leadership to manage and support the delivery of a wide range of complex clinical services and for implementing and managing systems and processes to enable services to respond effectively to the changing climate, leading on transformation and ensuring sustained improvements.

This is an exciting time to join Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust as we drive our Inpatient transformation program and strengthen the Emergency and Urgent Care pathway. The post holder will lead in the transition and integration including creating collaborative pathways and system working.

Accountable for the delivery of high quality and safe clinical services across all inpatients wards and urgent care pathways enhancing patient experience by ensuring effective patient flow systems.

Responsible for managing performance of the services, including quality, patient safety, patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes and compliance with the clinical pathways and associated protocols.

Take a leading role ensuring that SIs, complaints and disciplinary issues are managed efficiently and producing high quality, timely reports and action plans.

To provide demonstrable assurance that the clinical environment is safe, fit for patient care and lead on necessary interventions to correct this where it is not.

To provide demonstrable assurance that the resources available achieve efficiencies, reduction of waste and improvements in clinical quality.

Contribute to the business and long-term planning cycles, ensuring that business developments for allocated services and future plans are captured and planned for effectively.

Lead the development of a culture that promotes leadership through coaching.

To lead on a specific areas of work to ensure Directorate wide improvement and good governance internally and externally from the Trust, including the development and implementation of relevant policies across the Trust

To encourage research in order to support on-going evidence based service improvement and innovation.

To participate in Trust wide on call rotas.
