Role Overview
You'll report to the SENCo and support learners with SEND on a 1 1 basis, playing a pivotal role in enabling full access to the curriculum.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Offer tailored in-class and small-group assistance, building learners' confidence, independence, and engagement.
* Collaborate with the SENCo and Lead LSA to create and monitor individual learning and examination support plans.
* Implement agreed accommodations and assist with a variety of assessments.
* Employ technology to boost communication, independence, and learning outcomes.
* Liaise effectively with students, parents, tutors, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
Who We're Looking For
* Proven experience supporting young people (11-19) with complex SEND.
* Strong interpersonal skills with empathy, adaptability, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
* Excellent ICT literacy and confidence using assistive technology.
* Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant diploma or equivalent).
* Commitment to shared values: inclusion, high expectations for all, and nurturing wellbeing.
