We are looking for a Personal Assistant for an 11-year-old boy, he has a diagnosis of feotal alcohol syndrome, and a learning disability. He has on occasion been aggressive however this has greatly reduced and has only ever been in home environment. He does not speak much so good understanding of his needs will help to support him.
He is a very sociable little boy and is rarely in trouble at school, home is where his emotions come to the forefront. Although he is now 11, he has the cognitive ability of a 4/5-year-old. He likes playing football and tennis on the Switch and would love to be invisible!
There is an older sibling at home and often they will fight, and this will result in attention seeking behaviours.
A personal assistant is needed for four hours a week over two sessions, to help prevent family breakdown, mam is struggling emotionally and is exhausted. Dad works so mam is trying to keep all the plates spinning!
It was hoped that there would be space at Holder House, however as there is a waiting list, a personal assistant has been identified as potentially being a positive asset to the family.
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
