SENCO - Primary School, Wakefield
Full-Time or Part-Time availability will be considered
We are currently seeking a SENCO to work with one of our primary schools in the Wakefield area. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is an experienced SENCO. We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wakefield that is seeking a dedicated SENCO to join their team on a supply basis from September 2025, with the prospect of transitioning to a permanent role from January 2026.
The Role:
- SENCO position within an inclusive primary school setting.
- Initially supply-based, offering flexibility and the chance to get to know the school.
- Potential for a permanent post for the right candidate.
- Open to both full-time and part-time availability for the right candidate.
- Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to support pupils with special educational needs.
- Lead on SEN provision and ensure statutory requirements are met.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold the National SENCO Award.
- Have relevant experience working in a primary school setting.
- Be passionate about inclusive education and championing support for all learners.
- Have strong knowledge of SEND legislation and effective provision.
- Be organised, approachable, and confident in working with a range of outside agencies.
