Shop and Post Office Manager – Lympsham Community Shop and Post Office

Do you enjoy working within your local community? Do you want to offer a first-class service? We are looking for a Shop & Post Office Manager to work in your local community shop.

Applicants should have Post Office management experience and/or extensive grocery shop management experience.

As the Shop and Post Office Manager, you will be required to cover various tasks including:
• Balancing the Post Office accurately and balancing the Shop till
• Provide an efficient and courteous customer service
• Ensure all Post Office Audit and Compliance requirements are adhered to
• Ensure there is Post Office staff available to cover holidays and sickness
• Ensure all security measures are stringently followed including any Grapevine call outs
• Ensure the shop is fully stocked to meet customer expectations
• Check all invoices that arrive for accuracy and pay via online banking
• Ensure all financial records are maintained to meet the requirements of the accountant
• Recruit, manage and motivate volunteers
• Keep all Health & Safety, Fire Risk and CoSHH assessments up to date, along with company policies
• Keep the village website, advertising and social media information up to date

Please note: For our Post Office, you are required to undergo a P250 check as part of your employment, and this does include a financial check. Successful verification of this check by the Post Office is mandatory in order for candidates to commence employment.
