At Skills Centre Plus, our mission is simple: to change lives and make a difference. We're proud to support young people aged 16
and over who benefit from an alternative education setting—one that meets their unique needs and helps them grow in confidence,
skills, and independence.

We’re currently seeking a Multi Skilled Craft Tutor to join our friendly and dedicated team.

About the Role

This is a varied and hands-on teaching role in a Post-16 specialist provision environment, supporting learners with Education,
Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), some of whom may display challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will bring creativity,
flexibility, and a passion for helping young people succeed both personally and academically.

As a Craft Tutor, you’ll deliver engaging sessions in:

* Textiles and Creative Crafts
* Functional English
* Functional Maths
* Life Skills and Other Enrichment Subjects

You’ll support learners not only in developing practical and personal skills, but also in working towards appropriate, meaningful
qualifications that help prepare them for the next steps in life—whether that’s further education, training, or employment.

What We’re Looking For

* A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3 Diploma in Education and Training)
* Preferred experience in textiles, creative crafts, or similar practical skills
* Someone with a full driving license
* A positive, supportive attitude and a calm approach to behaviour
* A calm and supportive approach to working with young people
* Previous experience with SEN learners is desirable but not essential—we welcome the right person with the right values
* A flexible, adaptable mindset and willingness to support across subjects and curriculum areas
* Previous experience working with young people with SEN is desirable, but not essential—we welcome the right person with the
right heart and core values.

Why Join Us?

* Help shape lives and futures for young people who need you
* Support learners in achieving real qualifications and personal milestones
* Be part of a close-knit, supportive team where your input is valued
* Opportunities for training and development
* A role full of variety, creativity, and real impact where no two days are the same
