Job Title: Nursery Nurse Room Leader
Location: Birmingham (B9)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Nurse Room Leader to join an early years setting in Birmingham (B9) starting in September 2025.
About the Role:As Nursery Nurse Room Leader, you will take responsibility for leading a nursery room, managing staff, and ensuring high-quality care and education for the children. You will play a vital role in planning and delivering a stimulating curriculum that supports children’s development and well-being in a nurturing environment.
Room Leader Responsibilities:-
Lead and manage the daily operation of your designated nursery room

Plan, organise, and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences

Support and mentor nursery staff, fostering a positive team culture and continuous professional development

Ensure all health, safety, and safeguarding policies and procedures are followed rigorously

Monitor and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records
-
Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers to support each child’s individual needs

Collaborate closely with senior leadership and SENDCo to implement personalised learning plans where required

Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and well-being
Requirements:-
Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification desirable

Previous experience in a nursery setting desirable, particularly in a leadership or supervisory role

Strong knowledge of early years learning and development frameworks

Excellent communication and team management skills

Passionate about working with young children and supporting their individual needs
