Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in KS2?
A welcoming and diverse primary school in Handsworth is looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This full-time role is ideal for someone with classroom experience who is passionate about supporting all learners to thrive.
About the Role:
As a general class Teaching Assistant, you will support the whole class with daily learning and provide additional support to lower-performing pupils and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work closely with the class teacher to implement the curriculum and help ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting whole class learning and engagement
- Delivering targeted support to lower-attaining pupils and those with SEN
- Assisting with planning and preparation of classroom resources
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Monitoring pupil progress and feeding back to the class teacher
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting (KS2 preferred)
- Sound knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above)
- A caring, flexible and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
