Summary

We're excited to offer a strategic opportunity for a Senior Business Development Director - Estate Transformation.

This is a strategic business development role focused on driving estate transformation across the public sector-including education, health, and local government- The ability to deliver quality frontline services is underpinned by buildings that are fit for purpose, in the right locations and in good condition. The role will lead national sales growth by identifying, shaping, and securing opportunities that enable clients to reimagine and optimise their estates for long-term value, sustainability, and service delivery.

You will leverage your public sector insight and networks to generate and convert opportunities into deliverable commissions, aligning with Capita's broader transformation agenda. on

What you'll be doing :

• Lead the development of estate transformation opportunities, integrating property design, surveying, project and cost management into holistic solutions for public sector clients.
• Proactively grow existing accounts by identifying transformation needs and expanding service lines to support long-term estate strategies.
• Collaborate with the wider Place growth team to cross-sell estate transformation services alongside building safety, net zero, and planning and regeneration propositions.

Focus on generating high-impact estate transformation work in the public sector


• Drive self-generated lead development through strategic networking, thought leadership, and market engagement.
• Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline and forecast, supported by clear action plans and measurable targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders to understand estate challenges and co-develop tailored transformation proposals.

What we're looking for :

• Strong background in property with a focus on estate transformation and strategic asset management
• Proven experience in business development within a property or estate transformation context
• Deep understanding of the public sector and its estate challenges is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior decision-makers and influence estate strategy
• Commercially astute, financially literate, and outcomes-focused
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight as required
