More detail about the role The Dementia and Delirium Nurse is a Specialist Nurse with experience and specialist knowledge of Dementia and Delirium. The applicant must have a clear passion for caring for patients who live with Dementia and their families. They will also be assessing and caring for patients who are experiencing a delirium whilst in hospital. The Dementia and Delirium Nurse works along side the Admiral Nurses in the hospital. They will be expected to work within the MDT on all wards and departments within the hospital. The Nurse will also be expected to teach all staff groups in individualised teaching sessions as well as larger groups and teams. The role involves having an in-depth knowledge of Dementia and understanding of the causes of Delirium. They will need to have excellent, empathetic communication skills which enable them to care for and support families of patients with Dementia. Working Pattern: Full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date.
