Marden Lodge Primary School is seeking a skilled and passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated and hardworking team on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils, supporting their individual needs and helping them to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.Your opportunityWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the education and development of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning activities, adapt materials, and provide one-to-one or small group interventions. They should be proactive, professional, and committed to supporting pupils' well-being, behaviour, and personal growth, both in and outside the classroom. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a willingness to engage in training and contribute to pupil progress are essential.This will be a temporary contract Maternity Cover) What we are looking forGCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)Experience supporting children in education, particularly those with complex SEND needsKnowledge of positive behaviour management techniquesBasic IT skills (advanced skills desirable)Ability to plan, prioritise, and follow instructionsClear communicator who can explain tasks and engage children effectivelySkilled in maintaining high-quality recordsAble to support personal care, administer medication, or deliver therapy programmesCalm under pressure, flexible, and professionalStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build appropriate relationshipsCommitted to safeguarding and confidentialityPassionate about supporting children’s development and contributing to school lifeAlignment with the school’s mission and GLF core valuesPlease read the Job Description and Person Specification for more information and before applying.
