Full Job description:

Salary: £500-£540 per week

Location: Lewisham, SE15

Start date: Immediate or September 2025

Hours: 8:30AM-4:00PM Mon-Friday

Graduate SEN Classroom Assistant – Candidate Specification

To be considered for the Graduate SEN Classroom Assistant role you should:

- Holds a strong academic background through GCSE’s and A-Levels

- 2:1 degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Child Development, or a closely related field from a reputable university

- At least 1 Years experienced working with children or young people who have SEN needs

- Confident working independently and as part of a team

- As a Graduate SEN Classroom Assistant, you should have a calm and empathetic approach with a natural ability to form positive relationships with students

Graduate SEN Classroom Assistant – Job Role

As a Graduate SEN Classroom Assistant, your responsibilities include:

- Providing targeted one-to-one academic support for pupils with a range of SEN needs , ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively

- Supporting students' emotional, social, and behavioural development through consistent and empathetic pastoral care

- Collaborating with the school’s SENCO and wider pastoral team to implement and monitor EHCPs

- Monitoring and documenting student progress to contribute to regular reviews and reports
