As deputy MSO, you will deploy your skills to improve reporting and learning in medicines safety, primarily within prescribing. Providing feedback to prescribers, supporting reflection and identifying strategies and system changes to help improve medication safety. As chair of the Trust's medicines safety group, you will lead discussions on a range of medicines safety topics, ensuring every voice is heard and a consensus reached. In addition, you will join the regional and national medicines safety networks. The role will also entail managing and supporting prescribing training for the University of Southampton Medical School. You will need to be highly organised and be able to plan educational sessions well in advance with your colleagues. You will be able to apply learning directly from your knowledge of prescribing errors into the curriculum. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn and be curious about the systems our staff work with. You will need to be comfortable having challenging conversations with a range of staff and patients. The hours are flexible with a mixture of on-site and working from home opportunities.
