Crynodeb
To work together with the established 8b in paediatric haematology to develop further the services available to young people and their families living with sickle cell.
Applications from trainee clinical psychologists are welcome.
The trust requires HCPC registration for qualified members of staff.
To provide a qualified clinical psychology service to patients being seen within the Paediatric Service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust providing specialist psychological and cognitive assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on patients’ psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
CNWL Paediatric Psychology is a well established, thriving and developing section providing psychological services across seven hospitals in north west London. We are supported by being employed in a mental health trust with excellent CPD to bring innovative and flexible ways of delivering psychological pathways into primarily physical health settings.

The main focus of the post will be to provide input to the haematology service for children living with Sickle Cell, both inpatients and outpatient where you will be working as an embedded member of the multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to the wider team of clinical psychologists working in paediatrics utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research across the areas served by the paediatric psychology service.
